Hannah is a self-taught artist. Previously she worked in the charity sector, she thought she'd do this forever, having children forced her to think otherwise.  Having not painted since school, she rebuilt her confidence and skill by using every second childcare allowed to draw and paint fuelled by strong tea and Woman’s Hour. 

Working in Oils her paintings are bold, expressive and rich in colour.  She has a distinctive style which brings to life the atmosphere of her subjects.  The inspiration for her paintings comes from the landscapes and countryside she loves.  A selection of Hannah’s paintings demonstrate how rural life comes in many different forms, she finds beauty in subjects such as working farm buildings and decaying out buildings.  She also loves a good old fashioned Still Life.

Originally from Dorset she now lives near Stroud with her first husband, 3 children, dog, fish, chickens and tortoise.
